March 30, 2019 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Moonbase Zero- 820 Washington Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11238

Come learn the basics of creating engaging and accessible projects and games using the Scratch platform. Scratch is a web-based tool used to create stories, games, and animations with block-based code. To learn more about what’s possible, visit our blog post here.

We will go over the basics of Scratch and how to import personalized images and sounds to projects in order to create cause and effect games and simple direction following games. You are welcome to bring your own computer or use one of ours.

The class will also go over how to connect Scratch with various user-friendly boards such as the Makey Makey, Microbit and Circuit Playground Express. These boards can be used to create custom switches using any material that is conductive.

Target Audience: parents, family members, special education teachers, occupational therapist, speech therapists, and other interested parties.
