Middle School Code- Winter 2019

This winter we’re going to dive into web programming and web design with our middle school campers. We’ll talk about how the internet and the web works, including topics of internet security. Campers will build our own websites (individually or in teams), learning to the coding skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and digital media design (for images, audio, and video) needed to express their ideas. All of the sites we be published live on the web. Students will have the option of registering their own custom domain (e.g., www.CowFromMars.com).

This class is geared for 6th- 8th graders. Participants are expected to arrive at and leave from our storefront location at 820 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn. Sessions last 4pm-6pm. Doors open at 3:45pm.

This series will meet every Friday for 13 sessions in the winter starting Friday, January 11th and finish Friday, April 12th.

** We will not meet 2/22/2019 (Mid- Winter Recess).
