Switch Adapted Remote Camera Shutter

Users with physical disabilities may struggle with engaging in meaningful leisure activities. Photography is an effective means of participation in leisure. This project provides instructions on how to adapt low cost commercially available remote shutter devices which may not be accessible to users with physical disabilities. The device is modified by adding a mono jack cable to the device board allowing a user to plug in their own adaptive switches as an alternative access method for taking pictures.

This adaptation does require some soldering and beginner maker skills. It is also available at our Lending Library for order.

The instructions slides are available here for remix and modification as needed.

Please let us know in the comments below if you have built this device or have modifications to recommend.
