Join the NYC Metro chapter of Makers Making Change for an interactive in-person workshop where participants will explore the fundamentals of physical computing and block-based coding using the micro:bit controller. Learn how to use the Micro:bit as a wireless switch interface using PrintLab’s TAP switch for computer and mobile control, integrate a joystick for mouse emulation, and control a servo motor to build a switch activated 3D printed catapult. This hands-on event is perfect for beginners interested in combining technology and creativity to develop innovative solutions for users with physical disabilities.

Parking is available as well as accessible by the B11 bus, N/R Trains, and Ferry from Manhattan.
Registration
Cost of registration covers the cost of the micro:bit controller, 3D printed parts, and additional components allowing participants to take the completed projects home with them. 5 free spaces are available for participants who are interested in learning and do not require the components.
